Menu Changes Coming to McDonald’s

The global fast food chain plans to rollout what it calls its “best burgers ever,” putting a focus on correcting dry patties and squishy buns. The changes will include the following:

  • Six patties grilled at a time instead of eight to have its auto-cooking mechanism apply less pressure and retain more burger patty juices
  • More sauce on Big Macs
  • Addition of thicker, buttery brioche buns to retain heat
  • Sesame seeds more randomly scattered on buns
  • Cheese taken out of refrigerators sooner to melt more when cooked
  • Onions rehydrated after purchase to provide more juiciness
  • Lettuce and pickles stored in smaller containers to be refreshed more often.

Mediterranean Diet Reduces Type 2 Diabetes Risk

Participants following a calorie-reduced Mediterranean diet and engaging in moderate exercise had a 31% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes over six years compared to those who only followed the diet.

The Mediterranean diet emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats like olive oil. The study showed that participants in the intervention group also experienced modest weight loss and reduced belly fat, contributing to the decreased diabetes risk.

Broncos Score All 33 Points in the 4th Quarter, Stun Giants

The Broncos (5-2) trailed 26-8 with just over 5 minutes remaining but scored on a 7-yard Bo Nix scamper, R.J. Harvey’s 2-yard catch, an 18-yard keeper by Nix and Lutz’s game-winner after Jaxson Dart seemingly broke the Broncos’ hearts with a 1-yard TD with 37 seconds left that gave New York a 32-30 lead.

Jude McAtamney missed his second extra point of the afternoon, however, and after Tyler Badie returned the kickoff 19 yards to the 23, Nix found Marvin Mims for 29 yards and Courtland Sutton for 22.

With no timeouts remaining, Nix and the offense raced to the line of scrimmage at the Giants 21 and spiked the ball with 2 seconds left.
