The Giants dropped their eighth straight game on Sunday, losing to the New Orleans Saints, 14-11.

With 11 seconds left and trailing 14-11, Giants kicker Graham Gano lined up for a 35-yard field goal that would force overtime. But Saints defensive lineman Bryan Bresee had other ideas.

Bresee made a sensational play, jumping over the line to block Gano’s field goal and secure the Saints’ win.

The Saints improve their record to 5-8, while the Giants fall to 2-11.

It was not a well-played game by either offense. Giants quarterback Drew Lock completed just 21 of his 49 passes, while Derek Carr was only slightly better, going 20-for-31 for 219 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. 

But it was another win for the Saints, who are now 3-1 under interim head coach Darren Rizzi after a 2-7 start got head coach Dennis Allen fired.

The next coach fired may be Brian Daboll, whose Giants have nothing left to play for except the first pick in the draft.

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan hinted at possibly serving a role in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet during an appearance on FOX News.

“You know something, you’d be great to run the President’s Council on Physical Fitness,” Trump told Hogan backstage at Madison Square Garden during Trump’s sold out rally.

“I was talking about nutrition and how many foreign countries won’t even let their people eat the food that we eat here in America,” Hogan said.

“It’s so bad and it’s poisoned a generation of kids,’ he added. “And at the end of the day, we started talking about physical fitness.”

Hogan claimed Trump suggested he’d be a great fit for the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.

“And it would be great if you got all the kids in America in shape,” Hogan said.

The New York Jets blew an eight-point, fourth-quarter lead and lost 32-26 in overtime to the Miami Dolphins.

Minutes after the New York Giants lost to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at MetLife on a blocked field goal. Their co-tenants at the New Jersey venue, the New York Jets, matched them with a brutal loss of their own to the Miami Dolphins in South Beach.

Jason Sanders kicked a 52-yard field goal as time expired to tie the game and Tua Tagovailoa drove the Miami Dolphins to the winning touchdown in overtime of a 32-26 victory.

The winning score came on a TD pass of 10 yards from Tagovailoa to Jonnu Smith. The tight end had all three of his catches in overtime.

Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are officially out of the playoffs.
