The Jets don’t play again until September. And that’s good news for everyone, except their opponents, after the Jets lost 35-8 to the Bills on Sunday.

They secured the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. And by trading away two of their best defensive players, they now have four picks in the first two rounds of the next two NFL Drafts, and a ton of cap space to make their team better.

But they still have a history of losing that they must overcome.

Their first year under coach Aaron Glenn was supposed to represent a new page, with a roster with plenty of talent and a lot of questions.

Instead, the former Jets star helped this franchise reprint a story it team knows all too well: one of the worst seasons in franchise history.

The New York Giants used a fast start, explosive plays through the air and a strong second half to pull away from the Dallas Cowboys for a 34–17 win on Sunday — a result that means they can select no higher than No. 3 in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Giants win ended Cowboy Dak Prescott’s streak of 14 victories in a row over the Giants, the second-longest against an opponent since 1950.

The Cowboys finished 7-9-1 in Brian Schottenheimer’s first season, the first time with consecutive losing seasons since three consecutive 5-11 seasons from 2000-02. The Giants, who beat the Raiders last week, finish 4-13.

Prescott played only the first half of the mostly meaningless game. He went 7-of-11 for 70 yards, giving him 4,552 yards for the season. 

The Giants outgained the Cowboys 380 to 286.Tyrone Tracy rushed for 103 yards, the Giants’ first 100-yard rusher since he did it in Week 10 of the 2024 season. 

Jaxson Dart completed 22 of 32 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns, with Gunner Olszewski catching eight for 102.

The New York Giants defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 34-10 on Sunday, getting the club’s third win of the season and stopping a nine-game losing streak. The Raiders now have a leg up on the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft.

Jaxson Dart ran for two touchdowns, Deonte Banks returned a kickoff for another score, and the New York Giants snapped a nine-game losing streak with the road victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, who extended theirs to 10 consecutive outings. Mike Kafka picked up his first victory since becoming interim head coach.

Dart completed 22 of 30 passes for 207 yards and ran for two touchdowns. Dart now has 22 total touchdowns (13 passing, nine rushing) in 11 starts. With one game to go, the No. 25 overall draft pick trails only Charlie Conerly (27 in 1948) and Daniel Jones (26 in 2019) for the most total touchdowns in Giants history by a rookie quarterback.

The 3-13 Giants wrap up the 2025 season with a visit from the Cowboys, who improved to 7-8-1 with a 30-23 victory over the Commanders on Christmas Day. The Giants lost the first leg of the season series in a wild overtime finish at AT&T Stadium in Week 2.
